How is the Church of the Nazarene related to Methodism?

The Church of the Nazarene Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1908 in Texas as a combination of Methodism and the 19th-century Holiness Movement. While sharing common roots and theological influences with Methodism, especially the Methodist focus on grace, sanctification, and social action, the Nazarene church has distinct characteristics, including a specific emphasis on entire sanctification. "Entire Sanctification", is the belief that it's possible to be set completely apart from sin and live a life of holiness after conversion.
